100,000 Attendees
The Festival’s month-long advertising campaign throughout Central and Northern California targets adults age 25-44 with families.
Global Attention
In 2012, Festival representatives were radio guests from Denver to Chicago to Boston to London to Perth. The Great Garlic Cook-Off hosted television crews from South Korea and Berlin.
Cook-Off Theater
In an effort to better accommodate the attention garnered by the Great Garlic Cook-Off and Garlic Showdown, the Cook-Off Theater has been significantly enlarged and now features two large video monitors.
Garlic Avenue
Located inside Gate 5 on the Ranch side and serving as the primary entrance into the Festival, Garlic Avenue features a limited number of corporate exhibitor displays and provides sponsors exclusivity and valuable product exposure.
Demonstration Stage
In a theater setting adjacent to Gourmet Alley, the renowned pyro chefs host hourly cooking seminars explaining the preparation secrets of their heralded cuisine.
Garlic Showdown
Four prominent Northern California professional chefs will compete in an Iron-Chef style competition on July 31 for a top prize of $5,000.
Great Garlic Cook-Off
The Festival will review more than 800 recipes and invite eight finalists to prepare their entrée for a panel of judges in the Great Garlic Cook-Off, to be held on July 30 before a live audience, the strongest radio signal on the Pacific Rim and a global webcast.
Continuous Live Music
Three stages host continuous live entertainment featuring an eclectic lineup of Northern California’s most popular musicians. The San Francisco Bay Area’s powerhouse Hot Country 95.3 KRTY Radio has hosted national recording artists including Sunny Sweeney and Grammy Award winners Rascal Flatts.
Children’s Activity
The children’s area is regarded as Northern California’s premier experience for the younger set.
Arts & Crafts
Over 100 artisans displaying an exciting assortment of handcrafted items.

The Garlic Festival is chronicled worldwide. In recent years the Festival has attracted television coverage from Australia, Great Britain, West Germany, South Korea and outlets across the U.S. including throughout California.
