Chefs are encouraged to use garlic in unique ethnic dishes that reflect cultures from around the globe. The teams will compete on Friday, July 24, in two rounds (appetizer and entrée). The winning team will earn a $2,000 prize to be awarded to the charity of their choice. To apply, go to by April 30, 2020.

Got kids that can cook? Now in its third year, the popular Garlic Chef Jr. competition will return on Friday, July 24, featuring eight young chefs (ages 9-18) competing for a prize valued at $500. Each chef must prepare a dish using at least six cloves of garlic and may have one adult (non-professional) sous chef to assist. Applications must be submitted by May 15, 2020 at

The garlic godfather of amateur cooking competitions, the Great Garlic Cook-Off, returns for its 42nd year on Saturday, July 25.
