Queen Brittney, 18, attends Christopher High School and will graduate this June. She plans to attend Chapman University this fall, where she will study Peace Studies and Political Science. Her goal is to work for the United Nations or a non-profit organization like Habitat for Humanity or Peace Corps.
In the Queen’s Pageant, Queen Brittney won the Garlic Speech competition, entertaining the audience with her speech titled “Garlic Patrol.” Her talent was a pointe ballet performance.
Queen Brittney will represent the 36th Gilroy Garlic Festival at numerous pre-Festival activities and throughout the Festival July 25-27.
First runner-up is Ashely Fellows of Gilroy. Ashley is a graduate of Gilroy High School and currently attends West Valley Community College.
Second runner-up is Vanessa Martinez of Gilroy. Vanessa is a graduate of Gilroy High School and currently attends Gavilan Community College.
Princess Alexis Guiza of Hollister is a graduate of San Benito High School and currently attends Gavilan Community College.
Princess Vanessa Fernandez of Gilroy currently attends Christopher High School and plans to attend Stanislaus State in the fall.
Princess Teresa Bjornson of Gilroy is a graduate of GECA and Gilroy High School. She currently attends San Jose State.
